Need a little help: going free

for_saleFriends –

I realize I owe you all some Adventures in Advertising posts–I apologize: Marty Singer #3 has been giving me fits since before Christmas and I just found out my editor has dropped me for greener pastures. Crises continue!  I promise I’ll get some juicy info to you soon.

In the meantime, however, I could really use some online help from you all that should take about 2 minutes, if you’re willing: I’m trying to make my novel A Reason to Live free on Amazon to coincide with some advertising I’m running next week.

The book is already free on iTunes, Smashwords, and Kobo books. I need to convince Amazon that they should price match their competitors and the best way to do so is to “report a lower price” on my novel’s Amazon page. Here’s how you can help:

  1. Go to A Reason to Live‘s Amazon page: http://www.amazon.com/Reason-Marty-Singer-Mystery-ebook/dp/B0081MW9LM/
  2. About 1/3 of the way down the page is a section called Product Details. The last line in that section says “Would you like to give feedback on images or tell us about a lower price?” Click on “lower price.”
  3. In the small pop-up window that appears, choose “Website (Online)” and enter the following:URL: http://www.kobobooks.com/ebook/A-Reason-to-Live/book-Pq-lzL559kGsCJWc-_CHeg/page1.html
    Price ($): 0
    Shipping cost ($): 0
  4. Click “Submit feedback” That’s it!

If you’re feeling really generous, do it all over again, but report iTunes’s URL for my book in the URL field: https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/a-reason-to-live/id555717832?mt=11 (and Price and Shipping cost $0, of course).

Thanks in advance! You have my gratitude and, of course, a free digital copy of my book if Amazon changes the price!

p.s. Please pass this on to anyone you want…the more people reporting, the more likely it will happen.
