Just enter the promo code “KWLsave30” on checkout. And you can cruise a host of other great indie titles at Kobo’s sale page, including titles by Konrath, Crouch, Mayer, and Lyons. I believe the sale may end after the weekend, so head over there now!
And if you don’t have a Kobo e-reader, never fear. You can get the Kobo Reader software & app for any device at www.kobobooks.com/apps.
For authors going indie, it quickly becomes apparent that the best way to get the word out about your books and stories is to give some of it away for free. Although handing out novels like they are candy doesn’t have quite the same impact it did two or three years ago, it still may be the best strategy for newcomers to the digital publishing game.
Hi folks –
My first crime fiction collection, Three Shorts, is free for a limited time on all the major eBook channels and readers (Kindle, Nook, iTunes, Kobo, Sony). Please take advantage and grab your copy today; I’d love to know what you think about it, so feel free to comment here or on the collection’s page.
This is my first foray into a free promotion and I’m excited to see where it takes me. On the first day it went free (last Friday), it jumped from #377,721 (or so…) to #1,844 on Amazon. Still far from Top 100 material, but exciting nevertheless. Sales of other titles have remained level, but I’m after exposure and reach at this point. We’ll talk money later 🙂
