I’m really excited to be sitting next to Stephen King right now.
Not physically, of course (calm down, Brian). Our books are #23 on the paid (him) and free (me) lists, respectively. And while I’d gladly switch A Reason to Live‘s spot with 11/22/63, I am still ready to blow kazoos and hand out party hats for rising this high on what is an extremely competitive Mystery & Thriller Amazon list.
But the dream doesn’t have to end at #23! A Reason to Live is still free until midnight tonight (Pacific Time), so there’s plenty of time to tell your best friend, your aunty, you dog, even the neighbor’s kid to run out and–with between two and four clicks–get a brand new debut crime fiction novel that is a “…a riveting and entertaining read” (Karen Cantwell, author of the Barbara Marr mystery series) and is “…definitely is a ‘must read’ and is difficult to put down.” (from a 5-star Amazon review).
Spread the word, my friends! Less than 24 hours to go!
(ARTL is available in print, as well, for the low low price of $14.99 if you’re more at home with paper in your hands.)
What Lies Ahead
This big, four day FREE blowout of ARTL was meant to be the initial phase of the party for the second in the Marty Singer series, Blueblood, which will be out in 2-3 weeks. Also, with the drop in efficacy of KDP Select (i.e., few sales after a FREE pop), I’ll be pulling most if not all of my titles from Select and going through the process of uploading them to Smashwords and Kobo.
While I sigh and cringe a little thinking of putting an entire novel (or three) through the infamous Meat Grinder over at Smashwords, the idea is to get my writing in front of as many eyes as possible. The promotional advantages of having coupons and discounts can’t be overlooked, either.
So, for all those Nook and Kobo and Diesel owners out there, fear not! The entire Iden canon should be available to you soon. Thanks for sticking with me!
