Seven Into the Bleak: Free today!

Posted on June 25, 2012

My cascading six day fantasy sale continues with Seven Into the Bleak, FREE on Amazon.com today and tomorrow (June 25 – 26) only!

Synopsis

A band of companions–each with his or her own reasons–delves deep into the heart of the Bleak, the infamous and horrifying cavern world miles beneath their own. But their dreams of a quick journey fade into black when their way home is cut off.

Tavern songs dwell on heroes returning laden with loot, fame, and glory, but rarely do they talk of the fear, and loneliness, and misery of life in the World Under the World. The group of seven is hard-pressed to simply survive–both from struggles within and without–and there will be no songs to sing of the companions if they succumb to the horrors of The Bleak.

Seven into the Bleak is an original fantasy short story of 8,100 words or about 30 paperback pages.

One more fantasy short story is on sale over the next few days: Seven Into the Bleak (June 25-25)!

Addendum
As of 8:30 EST, Assassin hasn’t gone free yet due to server latency at Amazon. I’ve asked them to look into it and push it to free manually, but of course that might be me whistling in the wind. I’ll update here when it goes free.

Assassin is free as of 12:30 p.m. EST. Have at it!

Sword of Kings goes to #3!

Posted on June 23, 2012
Thanks to a lot of promotion and support, my two day sale of fantasy short story Sword of Kings went to #3 on the Amazon Best Seller list of  “Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Fiction > Fantasy > Epic” (and #201 on the overall list).
The rating will fall quickly, since the sale ended at midnight, but I kept good company for a while (see screen shot…and please ignore the Pampers ad)!

Thank you to everyone who downloaded and reviewed (or will review) SoK…I am really overwhelmed right now and can’t tell you how much I appreciate the support!

The next two day sale–of my short story Assassin–has just started (12 midnight EST) and goes for two days as well. Details will be posted very soon!

Update
I checked the lists (of course) around 7:30 a.m. EST and was tickled that SoK has made it to #1 on the Epic Fantasy list. My hope for the”cascading sale,” as you might have guessed, is to keep the first story buoyed up by this amazing support from readers…while my second and then third story bounce up as well.

It’s not out of the question to have all three in the Top 5 of Epic Fantasy at the same time if things fire in the right order. I’ll be writing an analysis next week of the experiment. Fingers crossed!
