Featured in Amazon’s StoryFront!

Posted on April 17, 2014

kindness_neighborsI’m incredibly excited to announce Amazon’s publication of my short story, “The Kindness of Neighbors” (previously published as “Finding Emma”), through its short fiction imprint StoryFront!

This has always been one of my favorite pieces, but to get validation from the tough editorial staff at Amazon makes it all the sweeter!

And I narrowly missed a second feather in my cap when they told me they wanted the original cover. Unfortunately, they couldn’t reach an agreement with the photographer and had to pass (his loss), but I’m incredibly pleased with the new cover, as well.

Please tell your friends! Just 1$1.99 🙂

Book Signing at the DC Crime Museum

Posted on March 26, 2014

crime_museumI’m honored to announce that I’ll be signing books with five other mystery and true crime authors at Washington DC’s Crime Museum (the site of the America’s Most Wanted broadcasts) on April 12, 2014.

If you happen to find yourself in the capital next month, make sure you look us up…the event is scheduled to take advantage of the famous Cherry Blossom Festival parade (which will take over all of downtown DC that morning). Admission is free for the signing, though the museum exhibits still require tickets (get them for $4 off by ordering ahead).

Big Al’s Readers’ Choice Awards…we’ll get ’em next time

Posted on March 21, 2014

bigal_artlGang, I’m disappointed to let you know that I didn’t win Big Al’s Readers’ Choice Awards in Mystery, but I want to thank you very much for voting for me. The winner in the category was Vicki Tyley’s Bitter Nothings. I haven’t read it, but all of Vicki’s books have garnered an impressive number of positive reviews and I’m honored to be in such great company.

Again, thanks so much for your support…we’ll get ’em next time!
