Around October 1, I’ll email you a digital file of the book. In return, I ask that you:
- Read the advance copy
- Write an honest review ahead of time and hold on to it
Then, on launch day (about the third week of October):
- Buy the book for $.99 (why buy the book? Check the FAQ, below) and…
- Post your pre-written review to Amazon that same day

WHAT IS THIS AGAIN?

HOW DO I GET THE BOOK?
I use a service called BookFunnel that will send you a personalized link only you can open. They’ll walk you through the steps to download the book to any Kindle-compatible* device. If you run into any technical trouble, they have great customer service and can solve most technical issues.

*Remember, you don’t need actually need a Kindle to read Kindle books. You can download the free Kindle Reader app (https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=16571048011) to just about any tablet, computer, or phone. Only proprietary devices (Nook and Kobo, mostly) can’t read Kindle book files.

WHY DO I HAVE TO BUY THE BOOK…DIDN’T YOU JUST GIVE IT TO ME?
When you buy the new book (as opposed to the copy I’ll email you), Amazon marks it as a Verified Purchase, which makes your review less likely to be marked by Amazon as fraudulent and removed. The purchase also helps the book achieve a higher rank and, of course, a great review encourages other readers to buy it.
WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT?
New novels are easily lost among the many books that are released on Amazon every day. By having great readers like you buy and review the book on launch day, it gives my novel a chance to rise up through the charts and get noticed by more readers.
