A REASON TO LIVE nominated for Big Al’s 2014 Reader’s Choice Awards!

Posted on March 2, 2014

Friends – Big Al’s voting page is now live!

I am thrilled to announce that A Reason to Live has been nominated by Big Al’s Books and Pals for their 2014 Readers’ Choice Awards! I made it past the 1,400 books submitted and the 368 actually reviewed to make it into Big Al’s top echelon.

But I need your help! Winners are selected by votes, so please cast yours for A Reason to Live  over at Big Al’s place, http://booksandpals.blogspot.com/. While you’re there, check out the nominees in the other genres…there are some wonderful books there.

If you want to get a look inside the book before voting, I recently made A Reason to Live free on Kobo and Smashwords, so grab your copy now (free on Amazon, iTunes, and B&N soon!) and take a gander before casting your vote.

Thanks!

p.s. Voting goes until midnight (EST) March 12th, so tell your friends!

Slightly new covers for the Marty Singer series

Posted on February 26, 2014

Singer_books_newI was told recently by several people that they couldn’t tell from my covers which books were Marty Singer books (hint: they all are). Although I like my covers, I had to admit that there was no single unifying feature to them that identified them as belonging to the same series. [Read more…]

Book Critique: Robert Parker’s Looking for Rachel Wallace

In honor of Robert B. Parker’s birthday (Sep. 17), I’m re-running this analysis I did of one of his best novels, Looking for Rachel Wallace. Enjoy!

The Spike, Marty Singer #4

Posted on August 30, 2013

The latest Marty Singer book has fought me every step of the way (and little things like flooded basements, vacations, and audiobooks have proven distracting, as well), but I’m nearing completion.

To reward all of you for your patience, check out this “rough plus” version of Chapter One of Marty Singer #4, The Spike.

p.s. A Reason to Live is free today through September 2 on Amazon! Tell your friends!

A Reason to Live featured on www.emysterybargains.com!

Posted on April 1, 2013

emsyteryHey Folks –

If you’re over my April Fool’s scare, why don’t you head on over to www.emysterybargains.com. It’s the brainchild of frequent visitor to this blog, managing editor of Cemetery Dance magazine, and fellow writer Brian Freeman.

He’s got both a Mystery and a Horror blog that features one awesomely-priced book each day. The site has featured the novels of such notables as James Patteson, Dean Koontz, and Jeffery Deaver, all of them low-priced for a short time or, like mine, less than than the price of a grande skim latte at Starbucks.

There’s no cost to you; Brian makes a little bit of change of each sale by way of the Amazon Affiliate program. Give it a gander if you’ve got a second: www.emysterybargains.com
