A REASON TO LIVE nominated for Big Al’s 2014 Reader’s Choice Awards!

Posted on March 2, 2014

Friends – Big Al’s voting page is now live!

I am thrilled to announce that A Reason to Live has been nominated by Big Al’s Books and Pals for their 2014 Readers’ Choice Awards! I made it past the 1,400 books submitted and the 368 actually reviewed to make it into Big Al’s top echelon.

But I need your help! Winners are selected by votes, so please cast yours for A Reason to Live  over at Big Al’s place, http://booksandpals.blogspot.com/. While you’re there, check out the nominees in the other genres…there are some wonderful books there.

If you want to get a look inside the book before voting, I recently made A Reason to Live free on Kobo and Smashwords, so grab your copy now (free on Amazon, iTunes, and B&N soon!) and take a gander before casting your vote.

Thanks!

p.s. Voting goes until midnight (EST) March 12th, so tell your friends!

VWC Symposium Q&A…plus Resource List

Posted on August 3, 2013

As some of you may know, I am going to be a panelist on e-book publishing at the Virginia Writers Club annual writers symposium, Navigating Your Writing Life. Becky Mushko, author and panelist moderator, asked if I would mind posting both a Q&A of my self-pub experiences and a resource sheet I put together for the participants. Hopefully, both attendees and non-attendees should get a kick out of some of the answers and some mileage out of the resource sheet.

Walk the Fire Anthology

Posted on May 20, 2013

wtfI’m excited to let you know that I’ve been invited to take part in the next volume of the Walk the Fire shared-world, science fiction anthology, which features Campbell and Hugo award-nominated writers alongside yours truly.

The anthology is being supported by a Kickstarter campaign which has just a few days left in its run…and has almost reached its goal. Award levels are as low as $5 (which includes an ecopy of the volume) and go up from there–including some amazing prizes, like audio versions of the anthology, signed manuscript copies, and even having your name used in one of the stories!

If you have the time and inclination, please head over to the Kickstarter page for the project and consider putting some change in the cup…then keep your eye out for publication in September!

p.s. I played ten questions with the anthology’s co-founder and creative spark behind the project, John Mierau. Check it out!
